Visiting Our Farm
Here at Jersey Shore Alpacas, we offer a variety of fun opportunities to meet and mingle with the critters, and learn about their fiber as well. On "Open Farm" days visitors are welcome to meet and feed the alpacas at the fenceline (we provide carrots). There is no charge, but we do have a donation box on the fence (we really appreciate donations, which help support the alpacas). If you are unable to visit on an "Open Farm" day or would like an even more personal experience, we also offer a $20/group private appointment (up to 4 people in a group, with additional people $5 each) where you are able to feed the alpacas and also go into the paddock with the girls for some "up close and personal" mingling, with a personal tour guide!
Please visit our FAQ page for more information about visiting our farm!
September-December Schedule 2017:
We are open to the public on Saturdays 10am-4pm, without an appointment (free, but we do have a donation box on the fence :) Also, private appointments are available Monday-Friday - cost is $20 for a group of up to 4 people and $5 for every additional person). Please call or email us for a reservation. It is best to reserve a tour at least 1-2 days in advance during the fall, but you are welcome to call/email for last minute availability. Reservations must be confirmed in advance. We are closed on Sundays.
Note: We are not able take private appointments during any "Open Farm" day (there just are not enough of us or the alpacas to do so). Thanks for understanding.
Finally, twice a year, in the fall, we have special events, National Alpaca Farm Day in September and the Holiday Photo Shoots in November and December. Both of these special days, visitors are allowed into the paddocks with the girls! Of course, we hope our visitors will follow up their alpaca-time with a visit to our shop, filled with luxurious, soft and warm alpaca products!
